WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CHARLESTON ATHLETIC FUND AND THE COUGAR CLUB?

The Charleston Athletic Fund (CAF) is the overarching fundraising arm for Athletics. The Cougar Club is a branch of the CAF that solely focuses on raising funds for student-athlete scholarships. An annual contribution to the Cougar Club gives you access to premium seating, hospitality, parking, and other benefits.

WHO CAN JOIN THE COUGAR CLUB?

Anyone can become a member of the Cougar Club!

I’VE ALWAYS HEARD IT’S “TOO EXPENSIVE” TO BE A COUGAR CLUB MEMBER. HOW CAN I MAKE AN IMPACT?

You can become a member of the Cougar Club for as little as $120 annually (even less for recent graduates-see page 10 of our membership guide). Our Graduate Cougar Club allows recent college graduates (within 4 years of graduation) to join the Cougar Club at any level for half the annual contribution requirement. For example, a Graduate Cougar Club member could join the Top Cat ($2,000) level for a contribution of only $1,000. All while receiving the same benefits that a regular Top Cat ($2,000) member would receive!

Are payment plans available?

Yes, payment plans are available to donors who wish to spread their payments over time. Payment plans must be paid in full by May 31st of the giving year in order for the donor to remain eligible for their priority seating, and to be considered a Cougar Club member in good standing.

How do I get basketball tickets?

In order to receive premium seating inside TD Arena you must be a Cougar Club donor (see Seating Chart on page 7 of the membership guide to see the giving requirements for each section). All donors who make their annual Cougar Club contribution by May 31st of each year are sent out season ticket invoices that allow them to secure and retain their seat location. Non-Cougar Club members only have the ability to purchase season tickets in non-premium sections of TD Arena.

Is the cost of my Men’s basketball tickets included in my donation?

Although your donation to the Cougar Club determines which seating locations you are eligible for, it does not include the season ticket cost. Men’s basketball season tickets are purchased separately through the College of Charleston Ticket Office.

Why should I donate to the Cougar Club?

By contributing to the Cougar Club you are helping to provide scholarship support for our student-athletes here at the College of Charleston. Additionally donors also receive tangible benefits, which are dependent on their donor level. Benefits include, but are not limited to, premium seating for sporting events, parking, and hospitality privileges for Men’s Basketball, and special events throughout the year.

No, although your gift to the Cougar Club determines which seating locations you are eligible for, it does not include season ticket cost. Men’s basketball season tickets can be purchased separately at the College of Charleston Box Office or by phone at 843.953.2632. The deadline to pay for your season tickets will be later than the deadline to make your gift to the Cougar Club.

How does sport specific giving affect my Cougar Club rank?

Donations to specific teams help members improve their Cougar Club rank, within the membership level to which they donate.
